1 Rinse yellow lentils in running water for 5 minutes; Soak in water for 15 minutes; Remove and drain 2 Peel, rinse and mince a carrot.


Balti Lamb Tikka

Ingredients :

480g lean boneless lamb, 175ml plain natural yoghurt, 2 cloves of garlic, 30g coriander, 2T corn oil, 1 green bell pepper, 3 red chili peppers, 1T tomato puree.

SEASONINGS:
(1) 2T lemon juice, 1t salt, some ground black pepper.
(2) 1t ground cumin, 1t ground coriander seeds, 1t chili powder, 1t garam masala.

Preparation :

1. Rinse lamb; Cut into strips; Marinate in seasoning (1) for 30 minutes.
2. Peel, rinse and mince garlic.
3. Rinse and chop coriander finely.
4. Add seasoning (2), the garlic and the coriander to the lamb from the step 1; Mix well; Cover with cling film; Chill in the fridge for 90 minutes.
5. Rinse, seed and slice a green bell pepper.
6. Rinse red chili peppers.
7. Heat a pan with 2T corn oil over a high heat; Turn to a low heat; Stir in 1T tomato puree; Gradually add the lamb from the step 4 (leave any excess marinade); stir-fry the lamb over a low heat for 10 minutes; Add the green bell pepper and the red chili pepper; Stir-fry over a high heat till the lamb is fully cooked; Ready to serve.
