1 Rinse lemons; Cut into halves; Seed; Juice; Discard the lemons 2 Pour 1.


Jeera Rice

Ingredients :

2T ghee, 100g roasted cashew nuts, 8-cm long cinnamon stick, 300g Basmati rice, 500ml water, 1t salt, some vegetable oil, some oregano.

SEASONINGS:
(1) 1T cumin seeds, 5 cardamom, 5 cloves.
(2) 3T onion paste, 2T ginger paste, 2T garlic paste.

Preparation :

1. Rinse and drain 300g Basmati rice.
2. Break a cinnamon stick into halves.
3. Heat a pan over a high heat; Add 2T ghee and heat over a medium heat; Add 100g roasted cashew nuts; Stir-fry over a medium heat till golden brown; Remove.
4. Heat the pan over low heat; Add seasoning (1); Stir-fry over a medium heat for 1 minute; Add seasoning (2); Stir-fry over a medium heat for 2 minutes; Add the Basmati rice; Stir-fry over a medium heat for 1 minute; Turn off the heat.
5. Lightly grease a pan with vegetable oil; Add 500ml water; Bring to the boil over a medium heat; Add 1t salt and the rice mixture from the step 4; Mix well; Cover with a lid; Cook over a low heat till the rice is done; Turn off the heat; Remove; Garnish with the cashew nut and some oregano; Ready to serve.
