Sesame Rice

Ingredients :

1T vegetable oil, 1t white gram, 4 dried red chili peppers, 2T Indian sesame oil, 1/2t mustard seeds, 2 sprigs of curry leaves, 375g cooked rice.

SEASONINGS:
3T roasted white sesame seeds, 1t salt.

Preparation :

1. Cut dried red chili peppers into pieces.
2. Heat a skillet over a high heat; Add 1T oil and heat over a medium heat; Add the dried red chili peppers and 1t white gram; Stir-fry over a medium heat till golden brown; Turn off the heat; Separate the red chili peppers and white gram from the oil.
3. Grind the red chili peppers and white gram, and seasonings to powder.
4. Heat a skillet over a high heat; Add 2T Indian sesame oil over a medium heat; Stir-fry 1/2t mustard seeds and curry leaves over a medium heat till the seeds splutter and fragrant; Add the powder from the step 3; Stir well; Add 375g cooked rice;
Stir over medium heat till mixed; Turn off the heat; Ready to serve.
